President Trump ensured America competed at full strength, yet political hatred drove some Americans to cheer for Belgium, exposing how division now outweighs patriotism itself.
Another tone deaf article. He fucked with something he should not have and cursed the team like he did the Knicks for the game he went to. We are all done with Donny your old boss - he needs to go now
Agreed 100%. There are people here that say it was poor form to hope the US lost. I didn't want them to lose, but I also didn't want them to win. The whole thing looked so sketchy. Here we have a FIFA president who has already proven he is a Trump toady by giving him that ridiculous FIFA peace prize. So Trump calls his lackey and demands a reversal. The rest of the world is watching. Had we won, the win would have been sullied by Trump's tampering with it.
And I truly think the controversy could have had something to do with the loss. The US team played terribly, nothing like what I've seen in the other games. Had Balogun not played, I think we would have seen a better game.
Of course, the irony is not lost that Balogun only could play for the US due to birthright citizenship. So Trump fought to have a guy play that otherwise he thinks has no business having US citizenship. The hypocrisy is real.
I can't belive that you can't see why no President should interfere in sports outcomes . Doesn't matter wether they are a democrat or a republican .. No matter what happens it makes us all look ugly .
The felon had no business interfering. His narcissistic ego driven impulses are a detriment to our country. One thing is certain. Everything he touches dies. Good luck.
Trump had no business sticking his nose in the game. He said he watched the red carding offense and decided he needed to ask FIFA to review it. BULLSHIT. He watches soccer?? 🤣 I didn’t need to see our President working angles. I cheered for our team because one player doesn’t make the TEAM.
It’s a fair point for sure. However, the opposite could have happened. USA could have won and would have been marred by a “cheating” mark. This is sports. Unfair calls by officials are part of the games. True athletes learn to live with that. Had the U.S. won, no one would remember the game. They would have remembered the corruption that got them the win. In the end, and I say this with some level of sadness, the events as they transpired, created a lose/lose opportunity for this young great men’s soccer team.
"Bad Call?" Michael, did you ever play soccer? Or any sport? Bad calls are part of any sport. Since when is it okay for a corrupt politician to press his buddy for reversal? I WAS CHEERING FOR BELGIUM. There are principles that extend beyond national boundaries. Fairness is one of them. This is not war. This is not US against the world. Standing up for what is right supercedes patriotism. It's not my country, or my soccer team, right or wrong.
So many days are focused on Trump and his actions. Because it doesn't stop. Constant Distractions and Chaos.
US President interfering into Sports decisions. Really? Wrong. Call it out. It is Wrong.
We need to focus on the Epstein Files and demanding the truth that is being covered up.
Periods of time missing. Different people who were associated missing. This Cover-up by the Trump Regime should shake every American to the core. There is no Integrity, no Accountability.
DOJ, SCOTUS, Republican Congress all Controlled and Corrupted.
Clearly it is the Rich and Connected vs. every other American. We must all fight back together-Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc.
Epstein, Epstein, Epstein.
All that do not Stand Up and have information are Complicit and Guilty. Michael?
This article is pure crap. I just heard you say on air, you made up with Trump 7 months ago. That immediately places all of your articles under suspicion. You wrote articles for Substack that are now viewed as lies. You lied to every single member of your subscribers and other creators. The beauty in this is that it is not my opinion. It is documentary evidence.
He won’t answer our questions. Do you think we would get honesty? Or even a humbled comment? No. We are now the far left that criticizes him. He is too skilled at micro controlling a comment. He insists on telling “his truth”. Delusional people and liars believe their truth is the truth.
It doesn't matter that you supported and perhaps were conned by Cohen. It matters where you stand now.
Many of the People on this Substack got tired and some quite ANGRY about me encouraging them to Question and Watch Actions. Well it played out! When you see a Red Flag, you need to Look Deeper and Question more.
Too many People ignored the Red Flags with Trump and you can see where we are-heading to a Dictatorship.
We need everyone (including ex-Supporters) to join together in one voice against these Fascists. We need to take our Democracy back. That means Republicans, Independents, Democrats, Muslim, Palestinian Americans, Black, Brown, etc.
We need to Investigate and Prosecute when able. Accountability!
We need to press Epstein Files harder. Michael joining Trump is probably about Michael changing his testimony to get Trump off? After all, the DOJ, etc. is very corrupt. Good timing for corrupt judgements.
And Michael getting a piece of the pie for his loyalty to Trump. Michael Cohen is selling out Americans to get his. That is my guess.
Never, never blindly support anyone! Question. Watch.
Did everyone notice-nothing in "Hidden" today! Red Flag!
Michael must be wrapping up his Deal and this Substack becomes less of a concern? Unless of course, they are coming for those of us that have been the most vocal?
I DM’d him and asked him what happened to the Michael who called him Vonshitsinpants. I also reminded him that when he needed him the most Trump said to the press that Cohen is just another one of my lawyers. Do you really believe that Trump reached out to hi or did he crawl back and beg for forgiveness? I’m furious.
Because he kept his personal business to himself? He is changing to an independent not a republican. How are his substacks now all lies? So well written. No one complained before.
Most of the time I agree with you Michael. This is not one of those times. Whether the red card was deserved or not, the host country (or any country) cannot get involved in decisions regarding the games. Trump making any call was improper and sends a very bad message. He told the world that if we don’t like an outcome he will apply pressure, and maybe even threats, to alter the results. He let it be known that America does not play fair. America will throw a tantrum, stomp our feet, and take the ball home to end the game. Bad calls happen in sports all the time. We can grumble all we want but it’s the nature of the beast. But that is the playing ground that is recognized in every game and every country. Leaders need to stay out of it.
Well Trump doesn’t exactly endear a lot of us to him. Trump had no business interfering. We don’t like his mafia style of governing, Trump spews hate on a near daily basis. He attacks the Democrats or anyone who openly and is a threat that opposes him. He attacks the media, the press that questions him or calls him out on outright lies or things Trump says that has no basis. He has sued the media because he didn’t like what was said. He has fired cabinet members that didn’t do what he wanted or didn’t report the data he wanted. So many people are angry for good reason. We need the Republican Party to stand up against Trump when he is out of line instead them toeing the line.
Well written, for the record I was cheering for Belgium too, but I'm Canadian. Yet tying a soccer game to politics is somewhat juvenile, especially when the motivation is to teach so and so a lesson. Americans should have been cheering their own team, together in unison. That would mean those on both sides of the fence agreeing on something. The petty bickering in the coffee shop is simply a reflection of a divided America. Yes Trump is despicable, Amnesty international describes the ICE situation as a full blown humanitarian emergency...let that sit for a second. So yes anger is mounting, but the nation must stand together to defeat the monster it's become.

Trump had no business interfering.
Maybe I’m wrong, Michael, but I think there might have been a time when you would have said, “Trump had no business interfering with the game.”

Trump didn’t know he was fighting for someone with birthright citizenship! 😂
I can't belive that you can't see why no President should interfere in sports outcomes . Doesn't matter wether they are a democrat or a republican .. No matter what happens it makes us all look ugly .

Skip, I’m at a loss for words. I heard it too. I feel lied to. And a bit nauseous.
We were conned. And it feels horrible to be used.
Skip I am devastated. I feel so used.
BYW he didn’t answer those questions.

Did I miss the red flag? If I did please tell me. I’m so disappointed that perhaps I’m not thinking straight.
I am so angry with him. I can’t even stand the sound of his voice. And you were such a strong supporter. I hurt for all of us.
What truth do you want him to tell? Your truth? Trying to understand.
I DM’d him and asked him what happened to the Michael who called him Vonshitsinpants. Some advice for you, Michael ———“Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.”
