"Mamdani Is A Moron"
While New Yorkers suffer soaring rent and crime, Zohran Mamdani chases international headlines like an attention-starved activist instead of governing.
Let me tell you something about real power. Real power doesn’t spend its afternoons fantasizing about international arrests it has absolutely no authority to make. Real power knows the difference between running a city and pretending you’re starring in your own low-budget remake of Law & Order: International Delusions.
Yet here we are.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani apparently looked around at soaring rents, crime that still worries too many New Yorkers, a transit system that tests everyone’s patience, and an ugly rise in antisemitic incidents and thought, “You know what this city really needs? Me pretending I’m Secretary of State.”
So instead of governing New York, he decided to cosplay as chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
Mamdani proudly announced that City Hall lawyers are exploring whether the NYPD could arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits Manhattan for the United Nations General Assembly this September. He solemnly informed The New York Times that whatever the law allows him to do in New York City is what they’ll do, while insisting they won’t be inventing new laws. He then declared Netanyahu belongs in The Hague because the International Criminal Court has charged him with war crimes.
That’s adorable.
The only problem is that none of this exists anywhere outside the imagination of someone who apparently believes City Hall comes with a foreign policy portfolio.
This isn’t bold. It isn’t courageous. It’s the political equivalent of a kid putting on a Batman cape and announcing he’s taking over the Department of War.
Let’s spend a moment in the part of government called “reality,” a jurisdiction Mayor Mamdani appears to visit only on connecting flights.
As U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz pointed out, federal authority, not mayoral wishful thinking, governs American foreign policy. The United States isn’t even a party to the Rome Statute that created the International Criminal Court. Federal law sharply limits cooperation with ICC enforcement efforts. Add the U.N. Headquarters Agreement, diplomatic protections afforded to visiting foreign leaders, and the Constitution’s allocation of foreign affairs to the federal government, and the image of NYPD officers hauling away a visiting prime minister isn’t just legally impossible; it borders on political fan fiction. It really makes you consider if Mayor Mamdani is a moron.
In other words, City Hall’s legal research could have been replaced with a first-year constitutional law textbook and saved taxpayers a few billable hours.
Former Mayor Eric Adams captured the absurdity perfectly. This isn’t a campus protest where everyone gets to chant “arrest him” before heading back to the dorms. It’s New York City. During U.N. General Assembly week, world leaders from every corner of the globe descend on Manhattan. Threatening to arrest the democratically elected leader of one of America’s closest allies isn’t some revolutionary act of justice. It’s reckless political performance art.
Republican Councilwoman Vickie Paladino made the broader legal point as well: local police simply don’t possess the authority to enforce International Criminal Court warrants against foreign heads of government. You don’t get to rewrite federal foreign policy because your campaign consultants discovered that outrage performs well on social media.
The frightening part isn’t that anyone seriously believes the NYPD is going to tackle Netanyahu into the back seat of a squad car. It’s that New York’s mayor appears willing to use one of the world’s biggest diplomatic gatherings as a stage for a publicity stunt everyone already knows can’t happen.
Think about the precedent if local politicians around the world adopted this same level of constitutional creativity. Imagine an American president landing overseas only to have some ambitious city mayor announce, “We’ve decided we don’t recognize Washington’s foreign policy, so we’re making our own rules.” That’s precisely why diplomatic immunity exists. Without it, international diplomacy devolves into municipal freelancing, where every local politician gets to audition as commander in chief of their own ZIP code.
House Republicans urged Mamdani to stop meddling in foreign policy and start focusing on the problems New Yorkers actually elected him to solve: housing, affordability, public safety, and the disturbing rise in antisemitism. That’s not an unreasonable request. In fact, it’s literally the job description.
Being mayor means making sure the trash gets picked up, the subways run, neighborhoods are safe, and families can afford to live here. It does not mean conducting imaginary war crimes tribunals from the steps of City Hall.
The tragedy is that New York doesn’t need another politician chasing viral headlines. It needs a mayor who understands the difference between governing and grandstanding.
Because while Mayor Mamdani is busy pretending he’s running the United Nations, millions of New Yorkers are still waiting for someone to run New York.

MORE THAN 600,000 PEOPLE READ MY ARTICLES THIS WEEK ALONE.
SO, WHERE ARE YOU? I’LL ASK AGAIN…WHERE ARE YOU?
I AM ASKING EACH OF YOU TO RESTACK, LIKE AND SHARE.
IT’S REALLY THAT EASY.
HELP US TO REBUILD AND GROW OUR COMMUNITY!
Yeah, I know; you’re tired. This shit is exhausting.
Guess what? Me too.
But I’ve spent the last 8 years throwing punches in the dark so truth could get a little daylight. And now I’m asking you to step into the ring with me.
Because if you’re still reading this, you already get it:
This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s a rally cry. A war drum. A line in the sand.
We are not passive observers of the downfall. We are the resistance. We call out the liars. We drag corruption by the collar into the sunlight. We say the quiet parts out loud; and we don’t flinch.
But here’s the truth: I can’t do this solo. Not anymore.
The storm is already here. We are standing in it. And it’s wearing stars and stripes like camouflage, preaching “freedom” while it sells fascism at retail.
So let me ask you:
Are. You. In?
Because this is not a scroll-and-forget read. This is a living, breathing, fire-breathing movement; and movements don’t move unless you do.
We need to be louder than spin, tougher than propaganda, and impossible to gaslight.
That takes more than clicks. More than likes.
It takes skin in the game.
So if you believe truth matters; if you’re sick of the bullshit, if you’re ready to stop screaming into the algorithm and start pushing back with purpose, this is your next step.
HERE’S HOW YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS:
Become a paid subscriber. Fund fearless, unfiltered journalism that hits back.
Share this with the loudest people you know; the ones who never sit down and shut up.
Build the community. Amplify the message. Be the damn megaphone.
And yeah; Founding Members? The first 240 of you will get a signed, numbered, limited-edition Substack version of Revenge. That’s not just a collector’s item. That’s receipts. Proof you didn’t sit this one out.
But let’s be clear:
This isn’t about a book.
It’s about backbone.
It’s about calling out the gaslighters and refusing to be played.
It’s about locking arms and saying, “Not. On. Our. Watch.”
You want to make a difference?
Then make it; right now.
Because if we don’t fight for truth, no one will.
But if we fight together?
They can’t drown us out.
Let’s be so loud, they wish we were just angry tweets.
Let’s be unshakable.
Unignorable.
Un-fucking-breakable.
Let’s go!

Your Zionism is showing. He has done more in the start of his term than expected. He is doing a great job. Any time anyone says anything about Israel you go nuts. Blind spot.
It may be out of his scope of work to suggest Netanyahu should be arrested for war crimes, but Mamdani is certainly no moron. I don’t live in NYC so I have no opinion based on residency, but below is a list of his achievements so far, all of which fit in the job description and also seem pretty impressive to me.
“According to Google Gemini: Key accomplishments from his first term include:
Universal Child Care: Partnered with New York Governor Kathy Hochul to secure funding for free, full-day child care for two-year-olds in high-need neighborhoods.
Housing and Tenant Protection: Established the Office for Tenant Protection and secured $34 million in restitution and repairs for tenants. .
Worker & Consumer Rights: Secured over $9 million in restitution for workers and small businesses and expanded protected time off for millions of workers.
City Services and Infrastructure: Addressed over 100,000 potholes, cleared illegal dumping sites, and initiated plans to fight food insecurity, starting in East Harlem.
Budgetary Wins: Passed an on-time city budget that closed the city's $5.4 billion budget deficit.” “
