"Resistance Can’t Whisper—It Must Roar"
While MAGA stays lockstep on lies, the DNC drifts leaderless, voiceless, and message-less. With democracy on life support, where’s the plan, the fight, the urgency? This silence is surrender.
Let me ask a question that’s been clawing at my brain like Trump clawing to get his hands on that $400 million Qatari plane: When the hell is the Democratic Party going to wake up and make its damn move? Because while democracy gasps for air under the weight of authoritarian cosplay from the MAGA crew, the DNC seems to be, I don’t know… taking a nap? Hiding out in a yoga retreat? Meditating on a 1996 playbook written in Hillary Clinton's basement?
Ken Martin was elected Chair of the Democratic National Committee on February 1, 2025. He was supposed to bring energy, vision, and urgency to the role; three things Democrats desperately need if we’re going to save this country from being flushed down the gold-plated Trump toilet. But where is he? Has anyone seen him? Has he tweeted? Held a rally? Made a plan to stop this slow-moving constitutional apocalypse? If Ken Martin’s bringing the energy, it must be locked in a bunker with Joe Biden’s approval rating.
Now let’s be clear: the problem isn’t that Democrats don’t have talent. We do. We’ve got
, a constitutional savant with more integrity in his pinky finger than Trump’s cabinet had in four years. We’ve got , who knows how to throw a punch; verbally, of course. AOC? She knows how to move a message. Governor Josh Shapiro? He’s a walking ad for competence. They have The and its exploding audience of Meidas Mighty warriors. And me? I’ve got a mic, a mouth, and a memory of what it was like to be inside the belly of the MAGA beast. We’re all ready to fight. But here’s the rub: we’re all shouting into different corners of the void.
There is no central message. No daily narrative. No cohesion. On any given day, you’ve got a Democratic senator talking about infrastructure, another one on abortion rights, a House member throwing shade about student loans, and yet another delivering a 200-tweet thread on climate policy. All worthwhile causes; don’t get me wrong, but try turning that into a bumper sticker. Meanwhile, the GOP has trained its goons to chant in unison like it’s a Gregorian MAGA choir. You know what they called their trillion-dollar monstrosity of a spending plan? Trump’s BIG, Beautiful Bill. Like a fast food combo meal, it’s got branding, simplicity, and zero nutritional value. But guess what? It sells.
The MAGA cult has mastered the art of repetition. They’re not subtle. They’re not honest. But they’re consistent. Whether it’s Karoline Leavitt spewing propaganda on Newsmax or MAGA Mike Johnson scheduling a 1 a.m. vote to ram a debt-exploding bill through Congress, they all stay on script. And that script works. Because in politics, as in advertising, clarity and repetition win. Democrats, on the other hand, can’t even agree on what time zone they’re in.
And let’s talk about platforms, because here’s where the rubber meets the road. The old DNC playbook relied on legacy media, fundraising dinners, and focus group-tested slogans that no one remembers. But the war we’re in now? It’s being fought on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube,
and podcasts like Mea Culpa. That’s where the voters are. That’s where the young people live. That’s where culture is shaped. Yet the DNC treats digital creators and independent journalists like they’re interns at a keg party.Wake up, Ken. Wake up, Democrats. You’re bringing a fax machine to a livestream.
We need to coalesce. That means opening the tent wide, embracing creators who know how to package a message in 90 seconds or less. Bring in the Meidas Touch crew. Partner with political comedians. Elevate voices that go viral for the right reasons. Coordinate the message so that when Trump tries to sell America another pyramid scheme disguised as policy, every single Democratic voice is ready with a counter-punch that lands; and echoes.
Because here’s the hard truth: Trump’s bad behavior will not be enough. If 2024 taught us anything, it’s that there is no scandal too vile, no tape too damning, no gaffe too embarrassing to guarantee his defeat. We cannot count on Trump’s toxicity to save us. We must give the American people a vision, a plan, and a message they can believe in; and hear over and over again.
This is the moment. Right now. Not in 2026. Not in October. Not after Trump breaks another law on live TV. We need a coordinated digital army. We need fire-breathing surrogates with facts and flair. We need Democrats willing to ditch decorum for impact. And we need a DNC chair who understands that this is not a policy debate; it’s a street fight for the soul of this country.
So burn the old playbook. Shred it. Bury it next to Trump’s tax returns. Then build a new one that’s ruthless, relentless, and real.
Because if we don’t get loud, organized, and unified now, 2026 won’t be a blue wave; it’ll be a red tsunami that washes away what’s left of our democracy. And I, for one, will not go down quietly. And, neither should you.
Time to act, Ken. The country can’t wait.

I’m asking, no, urging you, my loyal Substack readers, to help grow this platform into a force they can’t ignore. We’re not building a newsletter; we’re building a movement. One loud enough, sharp enough, and relentless enough to push back against the lies and hold the corrupt to account.
Now more than ever, independent journalism needs you. Your support keeps this alive; not corporate sponsors, not shady billionaires with agendas. You.
And yes; as a personal thank you, the first 240 Founding Members will receive a rare, signed, numbered Substack edition of my New York Times bestseller, Revenge: How Donald Trump Weaponized the U.S. Department of Justice Against His Critics. A collector’s item, and a statement.

I hear you loud and clear,Michael ! Your message is getting out to the people, and they are listening. Thank you, and will reStack ASAP 💯👍
You are absolutely right, Michael. Why are there no marching orders? This week, there should have been an organized, all-out effort to call vulnerable House Repubs to vote no on the big, bs budget bill that'll cut Medicaid and SNAP benefits. Didn't happen. The $400 million plane shouild have been questioned. What about the men who were sent to Sudan in spite of the fact that the Court said no one can be shipped out to a third country? And, it's been more than 2 months since Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the 250 other men were kidnapped to El Salvador and there's no plan to return them to the US. Why is there no organized effort to get the people involved as well as Congress? Where are Ken Martin, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries? Is anyone in charge? David Hogg has a pretty compelling argument. Maybe he needs to be in charge. His group, Leaders We Deserve, will support candidates that WILL do something. Maybe that's what the Democrats are afraid of: doing something. Democrats are guilty of not doing anything. I just don't know if it's because of apathy or fear.
