From rubble to retaliation, Ukraine rewrites modern warfare as cheap drones shatter Russia’s oil lifeline, disrupt global markets, and expose the fragile illusion of military dominance.
Zelensky has capable people conducting the war. Trump is mentally incapacitated and has his ball less "bros" playing war games. Al Jazeera: Two missiles hit a US frigate in the Strait of Hormuz after it ignored warnings from Iran's Navy to halt, state media quote the army as saying, with the US military saying no vessel was struck.
Of course, the "stable genius" has stated that Iran's Navy is "floating at the bottom of the ocean."

Great article, Michael. From comedian to president, Zelenskyy is the very definition of what a leader is. To quote Arthur Miller, “attention must be paid.”
Great essay this morning, Michael. The change from who is the biggest and richest country winning wars to inexpensive weapons, drones, is more than just a change in military hardware. Why do the superpowers of the world scream when big bad boy Russia decides to invade Ukraine, with no intention of truly helping Ukraine push Putin back? Vance, the complete moron that he is, is admonishing Zelenskyy for not kissing Trump's ass enough for the help we provided. I was so embarrassed while watching that. It seems as though being embarrassed to be an American is becoming the overwhelming feeling for me. Warfare evolves. We are definitely entering a new phase now, using inexpensive yet effective drones. If you add AI into the mix, you have set the stage for a horror movie.
Good article Michael 💙 and yes others have taken notice, Canada in particular. Our King and his magnificent speech gives some reassurance, he reminded congress that he is the sovereign of the common wealth. Typically our Monarchy has not had to do that, it's a given, but like he said we are in dangerous times and that was an absolute dig at America. Drones are no longer a warfare option, they are a must have and are as everybit as frightening and effective as automous weapons. Lets pray it never comes to that.
And yet here we are — listening to a man demand that Iran answer for its crimes against humanity, while the weight of American foreign policy history sits quietly in the room. There's a word for when the powerful exempt themselves from the very standards they impose on others. It's called impunity. Canada has noticed. The Commonwealth has noticed. The world has noticed. Dangerous times indeed.
Given the nonsense in Iran, I had almost forgotten about Ukraine. And maybe that was part of the grander scheme all along. I put nothing past our present regime. Kudos to Zelensky.
Asymmetrical warfare, whether by drone, cyber attack, or bio weapon, poses a real risk to the U.S. homeland. All the more reason we are endangered by Trump’s cuts to scientific research and government departments that defend against these risks.
I am glad Ukraine showed they still have cards, unlike Trump’s assertion, and were able to adapt and continue fighting for their survival and territorial integrity.
My question is, if drones used in warfare are so inexpensive and easy to develop and deploy, what happens if (when?) terrorists or rogue nations start using these here and other countries?
Or are we going to be one of the rogue nations if Trump and Hegseth and their ilk continue to be in charge and the enemy will be us? I feel like we are already a rogue nation.
Well thank goodness Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Trump have invested heavily in drones in the US. That means we'll for sure have a lot of drones in the $1.5 billion budget the DOD will have next year.
And the MAGA base still cheers it on while their increasingly empty pockets keep getting picked. The only good news is that the base is starting to erode. That's what happens when it costs well over $100 to fill up them pick-em-up trucks.
But the loyalists still cling to trump. Don't say that he is mentally ill. Keep pretending he is a "stable genius." After all, the more praise he receives, the better chances of being his BFF, again.
We'll see... Believing "It's Biden's fault" is much easier to swallow than - I fell for a giant con for over 10 years. I sometimes think about how much the average MAGA acolyte has likely shelled out since he rode down that golden escalator... It's just so pathetic.
I'll never forget what vance said to Z, gratitude for what? Then, MTG's boyfriend saying something about wearing a suit? But musk and kid rock were always OK! No I can't capitalize their names...
I was totally humiliated by that whole thing. Trump and trump-pet hadn't even a clue that Zelensky was demonstrating he was the better man that whole time.
Zelensky is a true leader as opposed to the unhinged fascist pig at 1600.

Very informative article. Thank you.
Love the read, great information and thanks for keeping us in

Yes. Well said.

Iran is showing that our military is out of date. And what does Trump want to do? Build battleships.
He can't very well put his name on a drone! 😅
Great article Michael.
Thank you. Like I said before, all these articles together will make a great book in the aftermath of Trump.
I agree 💯

And the Trump family and friends get richer. Nuremberg trials are coming. Firing squad - public executions.
And the MAGA base still cheers it on while their increasingly empty pockets keep getting picked. The only good news is that the base is starting to erode. That's what happens when it costs well over $100 to fill up them pick-em-up trucks.

It will take a few more months for them to withdraw from their fantasy of the orange Jesus. When it's closer to $150.

The US could learn some lessons from Ukraine if the clowns in the White House are capable of learning.
Very good article Michael
