When Trump and money are in the same context, the good of anyone other than Trump himself is not an issue. The American people were well beyond “what exactly are we paying for”…all the way to ..”we are suffering financially and want our tax dollars used for the good of our nation, and not for Trump acolytes”. He can (and probably will) look for a way to resurrect this abomination….and if and when he does, the nation will push back, likely even harder because more corrupt water will have passed under our bridge. Tariffs, the Iran war, gas and food prices, unaffordable healthcare…we the people are running out of patience.

Trump literally gets off on having this control of fucking with people’s minds! And money!!

Truly pathetic 🤮

Who do Americans Not Trust? The kangaroo cabal that will be appointed from the pool of Trump sycophants to administer the allocation of funds — the fund administrators who will file the Michael Cohen petition at the very top of the “no way we do that!” Pile.

They backed off because Judge Williams is investigating and because it was going to be killed in the court that would have ruled that there were not two opposing sides in this case. I don’t think anyone would have gotten that money - it would have gone to Trump’s pocket. People waiting for his shoes, his watches, his telephone, the DOGE check, etc might be skeptical. You keep saying no one said the money was for Jan 6ers. Yes, someone did. Donald J Trump. The “patriots who were treated very badly” are them. Certainly he was not speaking of Hunter Biden. The fund isn’t dead. This was a tactical retreat.

We're all supposed to suffer and starve so the grifters can have more $$$$. It's never enough for these psychos

I wonder if your perceptions of trump still hold true. You haven’t worked for him for a very long time. I do not believe the dementia addled old man is still the same one you worked for.

Nancy Kessler-Moore's avatar

Michael has several times said very assuredly that trump doesn't have dementia. Which is one of the reasons I have a hard time trusting his perceptions of anything.

Michael is the only one on Substack who refuses to say that Trump is mentally ill or mentally incapacitated. I happened to catch “The 5 Stack” today and wow…Zev and Dean did not hold back regarding Cohen. It was a paid subscribers livestream, so I don’t know if it will be posted.

Sorry the slush fund won't be available for you

Heather M's avatar

Michael, things do not need to be “stated explicitly” for anyone with half a brain and an ability to evaluate data (in this case, the data is the actions of this fascist regime to date) to glean the purpose of this slush fund. The Grifer in Chief will take money for himself and his family. Then, he will let his oligarch buddies have a go at it. Then, the J6 rednecks will get their beer money (and maybe a little extra for a new truck and hound dog).

I get you would like recompense for what happened to you. But you are surely intelligent enough to understand that this will never happen. I do admire your boundless optimism, though.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. As much as I agree with the premise that there is political weaponization of the justice system in the United States, and as warranted as compensation to those impacted by this weaponization may seem, the tRump administration is the wrong source for such a fund because so few people actually TRUST the tRump administration and its motives.

Patricia Hollinshead's avatar

And because HE is the one that weaponizes it. Like everything he does and says is projecting!!

"The Justice Department, which was set to administer the fund, also indicated Monday it would “abide by the Court’s ruling” to halt progress after a federal judge in Virginia on Friday temporarily halted any payouts or other work to establish the fund. But the White House has not stated publicly yet whether it would move to make changes to the fund or kill it altogether — or seek to revive it later should Trump change his mind." Politico

They should give it congressional oversight and allow it to pass and help people truly deserving of it.

Dead in the water? Put your hands back in your pockets.

The fact that this is even remotely being considered is beyond comprehension!

Opinion. When tfump appears to backaway from phase 1 of IRS grift, it is unlikely the move is away from stealing large dollars from USA for his private stash. Much smoke, noise, and chaos phase 2, direct snatch attempt primarily for tfump private stash? Is phase 2 a fake move, to enable a phase 3?

There are so many tfump enriching grifts in flight to increase tfump enabling smoke, noise, and chaos? If some grifts result in private tfump stash increase fine by him? Meanwhile, tfump goal is to keep as many heads in the deep dark firmly in place to be pawns for tfump?

From truth social: @michaelcohen

When a Star Witness totally recants, and in every way reveals that he was pressured and coerced to give testimony, and when the Prosecutor admits that this Witness was the single reason that the case was brought, there was no other, how can that Case not be immediately dismissed? That is exactly what happened in the Democrat New York Attorney General and Manhattan District Attorney’s Hoaxes against me. Michael Cohen has come out and unequivocally stated that the Radical Left Prosecutors, Tish James and Alvin Bragg, pressured and coerced him to testify against your favorite President, ME, when they made him the key player in their Political Witch Hunts. Now that his testimony is wiped away, and the unAmerican, Political Charade “Cases” are even further discredited, they should be put out of their misery, and dismissed, once and for all. Our Constitution, and the Rule of Law, demand immediate and swift dismissal, as well as for the Perpetrators of the Radical Left Lawfare and Weaponization to be held criminally responsible for their terrible misdeeds. We have to restore Confidence and Honor in our Justice System. I am an innocent man who has been horribly treated. Hopefully the Courts will do what everyone knows should be done. Thank you! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Janet,

Remember, many Americans supported the lies that Trump gave and ignored the red flags.

Those that continue to support people without good character are part of our current American problem. We have seen time and time again, people who approach "Cult Behavior." Or support this behavior to profit (power and money). By not standing up, people are complicit and just as guilty.

Character is everything.

Americans deserve better.

Call me stupid or crazy. MC was FORCED to testify on trump in Stormy Daniel's case. I don't think so. Trump put him through hell, so I think he loved it and he trashed the shit out of hom on the stand. This cancer will never die.

Dawn Cali's avatar

Curious, it is up to the American People to stop this cancer.

Americans deserve better.
