"The Cost Of Keeping His Word"
A divided nation watches as Trump fulfills his promises one by one; power centralized, justice weaponized, and the American people left standing still in the crossfire.
There are moments in a presidency when the noise drops away and you need to see things as they are; no spin, no excuses, just raw truth. This was one of those weeks. Ten months into his second term, Donald Trump isn’t guessing, bluffing, or pretending anymore. He’s doing exactly what he promised. And for anyone who thought his words on the campaign trail were just theater, this is your reminder: he meant every single one and he’s delivering on them one by one.
The government shutdown has become the latest heartbeat of this presidency; loud, erratic, and deeply unsustainable. Federal workers are pawning valuables and driving UBER to pay rent. National parks are closed. Veterans can’t get their benefits. Trump calls it a “necessary correction,” a reset of a broken system. But there’s no correction when ordinary Americans are paying the price. I’ve seen firsthand how Trump operates; pressure is his favorite currency. The more pain, the more leverage. And right now, Washington is bleeding, not bending.
On the global stage, his refusal to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine fits neatly into the “America First” doctrine he’s been selling for years. No more endless wars, no more freebies for foreign allies. It’s the same message that won him the White House again; strong, simple, absolute. But foreign policy isn’t a business deal. What feels like restraint today can look like retreat tomorrow. Ukraine’s fight isn’t just about borders; it’s about what kind of world we’re going to live in. And history has a long memory for moments when America turned away.
Then came the court’s intervention. U.S. District Judge April Perry blocked Trump’s order to deploy the National Guard, writing that she “cannot credit” the administration’s declarations when they contradict local law enforcement. That’s a federal judge saying, on the record, that the government’s own statements can’t be trusted. Think about that. We’ve reached a place where truth itself depends on which branch of power you ask. Perry’s order holds until October 23, but her message lingers far beyond that date: the guardrails of democracy are still there; just barely.
And then there’s John Bolton. His indictment for allegedly disclosing classified information landed like a thunderclap in a capital already divided by loyalty and fear. I’ll say this: for all of Bolton’s faults; and I’ve known him long enough to know there are many, the case against him appears solid. The evidence looks strong. But here’s the bigger picture: every opponent of Trump eventually finds themselves under investigation, targeted, or discredited. I warned this would happen. The Justice Department, in this era, isn’t just an institution; it’s a weapon. Whether Bolton is guilty or not, his prosecution proves the pattern; those who defy this administration end up in its crosshairs.
The same week, Trump commuted George Santos’s seven-year sentence. To his supporters, it’s mercy. To his critics, it’s corruption. But really, it’s consistency. Trump has always rewarded loyalty; it’s the only currency he trusts. And in this White House, loyalty buys freedom.
And today, October 18th, the nation takes to the streets for the “No Kings” rally; a protest Democrats are calling the largest in American history. Republicans, meanwhile, brand it the “I Hate America” rally. And there it is; the fracture, plain and simple. One event, two realities. We no longer speak the same language in this country. We don’t even see the same nation. We’ve replaced common ground with mutual contempt. And as the noise grows, the people caught in the middle; those just trying to get by, get drowned out completely.
With all this happening, a new Gallup poll shows Trump’s favorability at negative 57%. In any other time, that would be catastrophic heading into midterms. But these aren’t normal times, and this isn’t a normal presidency. Trump’s base doesn’t care about polls; they care about defiance. The political laws that used to predict power; approval ratings, turnout models, fundraising numbers, don’t apply anymore. The old rules are gone. And that should terrify every one of us who still believes democracy depends on accountability.
So, here’s the uncomfortable truth I have been screaming from the rooftop for 5 long years: Trump is keeping his word. He’s dismantling the establishment. He’s cutting foreign ties. He’s punishing the disloyal and elevating the faithful. Everything he said he’d do; he’s doing. But none of it is making the lives of ordinary Americans better. Wages aren’t rising. Costs aren’t falling. The middle class isn’t breathing easier. The only thing growing is the divide.
I used to believe power was about winning; about control. I learned the hard way that it’s really about consequence. The choices made this week; every one of them, carry weight far beyond the headlines. They shape what kind of country we’ll be when the shouting and chaos stops.
Trump’s fulfilling his promises. The question is: at what cost?
Because when a nation stands still long enough, it doesn’t just pause. It starts to sink.

Yeah, I know; you’re tired. This shit is exhausting.
Guess what? Me too.
But I’ve spent the last 8 years throwing punches in the dark so truth could get a little daylight. And now I’m asking you to step into the ring with me.
Because if you’re still reading this, you already get it:
This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s a rally cry. A war drum. A line in the sand.
We are not passive observers of the downfall. We are the resistance. We call out the liars. We drag corruption by the collar into the sunlight. We say the quiet parts out loud; and we don’t flinch.
But here’s the truth: I can’t do this solo. Not anymore.
The storm is already here. We are standing in it. And it’s wearing stars and stripes like camouflage, preaching “freedom” while it sells fascism at retail.
So let me ask you:
Are. You. In?
Because this is not a scroll-and-forget read. This is a living, breathing, fire-breathing movement; and movements don’t move unless you do.
We need to be louder than spin, tougher than propaganda, and impossible to gaslight.
That takes more than clicks. More than likes.
It takes skin in the game.
So if you believe truth matters; if you’re sick of the bullshit, if you’re ready to stop screaming into the algorithm and start pushing back with purpose, this is your next step.
HERE’S HOW YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS:
Become a paid subscriber. Fund fearless, unfiltered journalism that hits back.
Share this with the loudest people you know; the ones who never sit down and shut up.
Build the community. Amplify the message. Be the damn megaphone.
And yeah; Founding Members? The first 240 of you will get a signed, numbered, limited-edition Substack version of Revenge. That’s not just a collector’s item. That’s receipts. Proof you didn’t sit this one out.
But let’s be clear:
This isn’t about a book.
It’s about backbone.
It’s about calling out the gaslighters and refusing to be played.
It’s about locking arms and saying, “Not. On. Our. Watch.”
You want to make a difference?
Then make it; right now.
Because if we don’t fight for truth, no one will.
But if we fight together?
They can’t drown us out.
Let’s be so loud, they wish we were just angry tweets.
Let’s be unshakable.
Unignorable.
Un-fucking-breakable.
Let’s go!

I, for one, will not be silent. If we are going to go down then I’m going down screaming. I am optimistic that the Americans in this country that truly defend the constitution will do just that. Good luck to all of us.
I have my sign ready, covered in clear plastic, because we have rain today in my area. I will protest peacefully and join all of those that want to save our Country and Democracy. I am proud to be a part of No Kings Day and want to do my part to try and save our Country. Stay peaceful everyone and stay safe.
