The Trump administration has informed key Republican lawmakers that it plans to request roughly $80 billion in supplemental funding for the Iran war by the end of the week. The money would largely be used to replenish missile stockpiles and cover military operations in the Middle East. $80 BILLION for a war of choice alongside Netanyahu that we shouldn't even be in while Americans are suffering every day! This needs to end!

The Constitution is conflicted on the President's military powers. Only Congress can "declare WAR" whatever that means, however the President is "Comander in Chief" of the military. The truth is the conflict over the power of the President to take "military action" verses Congress ability to "declare War" is not settled. The President should be able to take certain military actions, like to save hostages for instances. We would be fools to prevent the President from using the military rescue hostages taken by a "military" force just because only Congress can "declare War". We need flexibility and the Constitution is designed to provide us that.
"The exhausted majority...respond with the political equivalent of a shrug", I am tired too. I'm not throwing up my hands and giving in. I'm just tired after a decade of outrage and indignation. I will vote, it seems like the only real thing I can do.
I am hopeful Michael that you Stand Up and Speak Up about what you know regarding Trump, his Family, his Associates, and his Business Dealings.
