"The Richest Man Alive, Yet Still Powerless"
Elon Musk thought he was untouchable; until he dared to cross Trump. Now the "bromance" is over, and the richest man alive is about to learn who's boss.
There’s a look. You’ve seen it. That lean-in. That whisper. That intimate little moment Trump gives when he thinks he’s found the one. You could wallpaper Mar-a-Lago with the photos. First, it was me; his “fixer,” his confidant, his Michael. Then Steve Bannon had his moment in the sun, followed by Jared, Rudy, and eventually, Elon Musk. Each of us was granted a seat at the right hand of the Orange Throne; until we weren’t.
Trump is a man who loves deeply; but only the reflection he sees of himself in your eyes. The second that reflection dulls, he’s done. And if you dare to speak out? God help you.
So here we are. The bromance between President Donald J. Trump and Elon “I’ll Buy the Constitution If It’s for Sale” Musk is officially dead. Musk, who was once perched proudly at the helm of DOGE (that’s the Department of Government Efficiency, not your favorite meme coin), has now called Trump’s prized “One Beautiful Bill Act” a “disgusting abomination.” Oh shit! Talk about pillow talk gone bad.
Let’s be honest: Musk saw this coming. Maybe not in his mirror-polished rocket ships or behind the tinted windows of his Cybertrucks, but deep down in the bloodless, data-driven caverns of his brain, he knew. You don’t call out Trump in public unless you’re looking to start a war; or you’ve already booked a flight to exile.
Trump doesn’t tolerate disloyalty. Ask me how I know.
The “One Beautiful Bill,” which was pitched with all the substance of a Trump steak and the ethics of a Trump University diploma, is being sold to the American people as a way to reduce the deficit. In reality? It slashes Medicaid, guts education, kills food assistance, and redirects billions to Trump’s pet projects and “national beautification,” whatever that dystopian fever dream means. And Elon, bless his algorithm-loving heart, decided to tweet about it like a pissed-off Redditor: “Shame on those who voted for it,” he said. “You know you did wrong.” And just like that, he was done.
But Trump isn’t done. Fuck no.
Trump has the full weight of the federal government behind him. The Department of Justice, retooled under his second-term loyalists, isn’t an institution anymore; it’s a weapon. You cross Trump now, you risk the FBI knocking down your door before your Tesla can even self-drive you to safety.
Elon made the classic mistake of believing he was untouchable. That his billions would insulate him. That being the richest man in the world meant he could speak truth to a man who believes he is the world.
Let me make something crystal clear: no one; not Bannon, not Jared, not Rudy, not me, and definitely not Elon, has ever been more important to Trump than Trump. The “bromance” is never about you. It’s about what he can extract from you. Your loyalty. Your power. Your credibility. Your money. And when it’s over, it’s not just over; it’s scorched earth.
I spoke out and paid the price. Indictments, prison, public humiliation. The others? They stayed silent. Some sold their souls to hang on a little longer. Elon? He’s trying to reclaim his soul after writing the check.
Musk is a man who believes in data, but here’s a data point he missed: Trump has never ended a relationship cleanly. He ends them with revenge. Vindictive, public, humiliating revenge. It’s not personal. It’s branding.
And make no mistake; Trump will move against Elon. Maybe not tomorrow, but it’s coming. He’ll start whispering about antitrust violations. There will be “anonymous” leaks about Tesla’s subsidies or SpaceX contracts. Suddenly, the DOJ will discover a “problem” in Elon’s books. Because this is not just about one bill. It’s about control. Obedience. Fear.
Elon has now become the cautionary tale. He’ll be used as the example: Step out of line and watch what happens. Because in Trump’s America, the Constitution is just another document he can tear up on live TV; right before having it ghostwritten into a book deal he’ll never read.
So welcome to the club, Elon. The exiled. The used. The discarded. You’ve joined a small but growing group of former insiders who dared speak truth to power. The difference? You had the money to do it; and you still lost.
Because when it comes to Trump, it’s not about how rich you are. It’s about how useful you are in that moment. And if you’re no longer useful, you’re not just irrelevant. You’re a target.
And this, my friends, is the dystopia we now live in. Where policy is personal, governance is vengeance, and the only truth is the lie Trump is telling in that moment. Elon tried to tweet his way out. But hashtags don’t work when the man in power doesn’t believe in the internet; only in control.
So take it from a man who’s already been chewed up and spit out by the beast: Elon, buckle the hell up. That seductive whisper in your ear? It’s now a snarl; and in Trump’s world, that sound doesn’t end in a warning. It ends with your head on a spike.
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PERSONAL NOTE: JOIN ME AND THIS COMMUNITY TODAY. WE CAN’T DO THIS ALONE!
If you’re reading this, it means you care. You care about truth. About justice. About saving our democracy from the grip of grifters, liars, and power-hungry con men. But let’s be real; I can’t carry this weight on my own.
I’m asking, no, urging you, my loyal Substack readers, to help grow this platform into a force they can’t ignore. We’re not building a newsletter; we’re building a movement. One loud enough, sharp enough, and relentless enough to push back against the lies and hold the corrupt to account.
Now more than ever, independent journalism needs you. Your support keeps this alive; not corporate sponsors, not shady billionaires with agendas. You.
And yes; as a personal thank you, the first 240 Founding Members will receive a rare, signed, numbered Substack edition of my New York Times bestseller, Revenge: How Donald Trump Weaponized the U.S. Department of Justice Against His Critics. A collector’s item, and a statement.
But this is bigger than a book. It’s about standing up while others stay silent. It’s about building a community that calls out the bullshit and fights like hell for what’s right.
So here’s what you can do: 1) Become a supporter. 2) Share this Substack with family and friends. 3) Bring your people into the fight.
Do your part. Stand up. Speak out. The time is now; and together, we will be heard.
I hope Elon acts quickly to expose Trump and the GOP! He should confess to hacking the election for Trump and any dirt that would destroy the GOP before they “Epstein” him.
He will soon find out what it is to fuck around and find out the hard way.
Very poignant depiction of the truth! Who else can possibly write something like this other than someone who has truly experienced what it was like?
It’s sad that people are not able to see through what kind of person this (F)Elon really is! The fact that the GOP is enabling all the wrong things that are going on in our country is insane!
There will be a reckoning! I hope that these traitors who does not care about the American people will be voted out!!!
