As fresh wars spread across continents, Memorial Day becomes less about history and more about the terrifying possibility that tomorrow’s graves are already chosen.
The thought of the orange coward "honoring" the fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown today is both disturbing and insulting to all the fallen in our history. Thank you for the excellent expression of support for the true fallen heroes.
The "orange coward" was on TV today saluting and placing a wreath on a stand. Presumably for the "unknown soldier." He who called the "suckers and losers" shouldn't ever be near Arlington. Michael Cohen, thank you for your beautifully written piece about the importance of today.
Thank you Michael for your truly understanding of the meaning of Memorial Day and the sadness it carries for so many families all across the world. I fully agree with you that we should concentrate on preventing future wars, and hold those who start a war responsible.
Every morning I'm up at 7:00 to let the dog out, feed the dog, get my coffee, turn on my phone and look for your post that arrives everyday in my emails by 7:45.
Today's post was exceptional.
As I share this all over the Internet, I hope that it will affect those that read it as it has affected me, to really really really think about the soldiers past and present and how their service has affected their families.
Thank you for writing this article! It is a prayer. You spoke the truth with respect and honor to those who gave their lives to our country and their families. Thank you so much!
My heart is with the fallen today, most especially thinking about my beloved Uncle John whose US Army Engineering Unit was charged with plowing the bodies from Normandy Beach. Our Heroes, our Greatest Generation who gave all fighting fascism that maggats are gleefully embracing as they guzzle the koolaid of a sycophant.
Beautifully said Michael "Loss has no political party."
"Memorial Day should not simply be about honoring the dead. It should be about questioning the living",

This is the best Memorial Day message I have read.
You have said it all. Thank you!
The fallen are turning in their graves in disgrace of our sad country who has let them down

What a great post Michael. Let's not ever forget the fallen. Thank you for this.....
A great nation honors its Veterans with care and support -- always.
Great writing! Thanks.
Well said as always

Truth.... heartbreaking...it needs to stop...
A very thoughtful message on honour, courage and remembrance.
Thank you for capturing these truths so well.
