The BIG UGLY BILL and all its cruelty need to be put front & center by Democrats every day between now and the midterms, even if it doesn't pass in its current form. We must never forget that the GOP is perfectly fine with ripping healthcare and vital assistance away from vulnerable people. They deserve better than this ghoulish, destructive garbage. We all do.

And they call themselves "Pro-Life." They call themselves "Christians.", They call themselves "Patriots." MY ASS. MY ASS. AND YES, MY ASS.

Well said Michael. This BIG CRUEL BILL is as UN-American, Inhumane, and completely NOT what our forefathers envisioned, and NOT what brave Americans, like my father, a die-hard Republican and WWII vet, joined the battle for freedom for. He would be turning in his grave right now. It's time WE ALL...got brave, and answered the call for freedom. It may be our last chance. And that's no hyperbole..

Agree Peg! The more ppl that they are able to cripple now, the less they will have to deal with later. Time is against us.

Hi Mr. C., a provocative subject. So let me get this straight. These so-called "Republicans" claim they're afraid of doing the right thing because the MAGA Nazi-Confederates are primarying them out of office. Still, then they turn around and don't do the right thing anyway, and then decide not to run for office, leaving the rest of us holding the bag. An old Moorish saying comes to mind: "May the fleas of a thousand camels nest in their crotch!" Those SOBs will go down in history as responsible for the demise of America. What comes around goes around. I hope to witness these MOFOs be held responsible for all the harm that's been done, and "I was just following orders" will NOT be acceptable as an excuse! Curse these fuckers, all of them.

As always well written succinct and powerful..maybe all the d's should have townhall meetings this week in the republican strong holds to prove these cowards who resign or claim they are too scared ( looking at you, Murkowski ) are not upholding their oath for democracy... those town halls will be filled .. on another level the r's have been too afraid to even have town halls ..the irony of being afraid of your own constituents is mind boggling

I hope that this bill doesn't pass in the form that it is written. I hope they have to take out ICE funding and give back to the poor and that they do what is right. I hope that it is not on tRump's desk by July 4. I hope he gets nothing that he wants. I realize that these hopes are not going to happen, but I can't go along with anything that they are doing, to our country and it's peoples.

Agreed! Moreover, I'd like to see DHS dismantled. Responsibilities returned to the FBI and ICE, dismantled as we know. Replaced by separate entities, the Immigration Police and a Customs Police. These two subjects shouldn't be piled into one dept. Also, we need to rethink ATF. Firearms, Police, and a separate Dept of Alcoholic and Cannabis Affairs. (DACA)

I totally agree. I will say that if ICE were to remain, it would have to be with a whole new set of rules and only going after criminals.

These cowardly republicans are quitting anyway, so why not do what’s right in the moment, and not vote for this Big Ugly Bill?

Thank you! Do MAGA Repubs still care about constituents? My Dem US Rep has been traveling to other, Republican districts in my state and holding town hall meetings, because the current Republican Reps have been ignoring their people. How are these Republicans currently being rewarded? "Special funding"? The majority of them are probaby well off, but probably not at the level of their movement's leaders. Am I being too cynical?

@michealcohen. Do you think Zorhan Mamdani would be open to being on your show? He has a lot of pressures on him since being elected mayor, its understandable why he might decline but he is honestly a light in the darkness right now, like Govern Newsome
