I watched this segment Saturday night and Michael hit on something I’ve long believed… if you are convicted of a crime - any crime - and you do the punishment as prescribed by law, then you should be allowed to live your life going forward without the stigma of having once been convicted. It should not be a factor in employment, housing or voting.

As a kid, if I did wrong maybe I got a spanking. I didn’t get banned from the dinner table for life.

Michael was in a way, a political prisoner in his own country.

He was only guilty of covering for his then "boss". He has paid his debt

to "society"and much more. I think a pardon is overdue!

Michael, YOU and the rest of us ordinary people are held back by our foibles or non-heinous crimes. tRump went on to become president again. So we have laws that prevent some from receiving what most of us consider necessities or comforts that allow people to return to society as changed individuals while the TRULY privileged don't face consequences! 47 has not even been charged with an Insurrection that we saw him dog whistle, one that led individuals to want to hang his own VP. Our laws allow a person of this LOW caliber and low moral fiber to run for a high office, and in this case, the highest in the land? I DO NOT GET THAT! Can anyone explain this to me? My head will fall off if I keep shaking it much longer. :)

This is a country whose laws were written by white, privileged, wealthy men, for, white, privileged, wealthy men, and in 250 years, despite the fact that we ALL know it, this has never been adjusted. When this regime is finally toppled, we need a new social contract, written by the many, for the many, full stop. This has always been “the land of the free” only for the wealthy, the rest of us get the scraps.

When we get a Democracy back in the USA let’s start a petition to get Michael a full pardon. He deserves it SOOOO much.

"The shooting"? The plan to increase his numbers? The one that scientists state there is no physical evidence of a gun shot to an ear? I said it to myself as soon as it happened. Fake news.

Yep. I thought right away that it was a setup and nothing since then has convinced me otherwise. To the contrary, detailed analysis by medical experts and ballistics experts show that the “bloody ear” was makeup applied by secret service agents when he was on the ground. Wrong color for blood. Unrealistic blood trail. No scar on the ear.

I've heard the exact same evidence. When you look at a close up of the blood trail it's laughable. Who's lipstick was used?

I must say, as time goes on I believe it was orchestrated and I believe they knew people would die.

They were just collateral damage.

You were calm and gave intelligent responses to the hosts questions. They did not pull punches either, and you answered honestly, with conviction and purpose. Kudos, Michael.

Someone involved in non violent crimes shouldn't make you into a convicted felon unless that person is hasn't learned anything and is convicted for the 3rd time then I could see charging them as a felon.

She got it so wrong Michael. He was never shot too begin with. The whole episode was a staged wwe event. Let's be real.

I think the pardons for felons should not include people who have ripped off money from the elderly or as people like that from Enron who stole billions from everyday working prople. Or people stealing from peoples pensions.

Dear Michael, you never should have been put through what they did to you. Trump is an animal.

You're absolutely right, Mikey. People with no records have no idea what it's like to be a convicted felon. You have no access to just about everything a person needs - nobody will hire you, rent to you, or even give you a car loan. And that's just a small example. Furthermore, some felonies are relatively minor, depending on the state. In NJ, it's a felony to leave your dog in a hot car. But how hot, & for how long? Nobody knows - the law does not specify.
