Back in 2016, my BFF voted for Donald. When I found out, I axed her why. She said, "Because I didn't want to vote for Hillary." Now, she's not an idiot...but I went medieval on her ass.
However, this points out part of the problem: what kind of choice do we have? The closest a 3rd party candidate ever came to getting elected was George Wallace, & even he only got something like 16% of the vote. Furthermore, Hillary won; but due to the Electoral College, she lost. Now, I live in one of only TWO states which allot EC votes fairly instead of winner-take-all. And what toasts my cookies is: ALL states could rectify this problem right now. But they don't. In fact, Nebraska came pretty close to switching to what all the other states do.
What is wrong with people? Don't they want voting to be fair instead of the byzantine system we instituted when it took a 3-day horseback ride to vote? Fixing this antiquated system would improve things, & we wouldn't even have to rely on the do-nothing Congress for it!
I watched your segment on MSNBC. It would be wonderful if the title of felon for non-violent people who served their time was removed for so many. How can these people move forward when they can't get a job, go to school or get housing. This would help with the homelessness as well.
