In addition, I'm tired of the Dem "Mothership" junk texts (which I have been doing "STOP" to get off their list.) So, a simple solution for the Dem leadership (calling you, Ken Martin) may be to disregard ALL Dem fundraising, especially from the DNC until the leadership shows some cajones to call Israel/Netanyahu on the genocide.
Let's get humanitarian aid for the starving Gaza residents IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, I will hold my contributions to Dem candidates (except those who are calling for humanitarian aid and less military aid.)

What is causing this 'culture' which sends anyone into a crowd and fire? My family is full of gun enthusiasts; my father built guns from scratch. No one in my family would consider murder as a solution... So thoughts and prayers only take you so far - it does nothing to bring back those lost to bullets from a complete stranger. Where is common sense; an empathy towards humanity and who the hell is teaching boundaries?
This is why there needs to be background checks and some sort of psychological examination (I know this will be tough and unpopular) for the person buying the gun.
Agreed to a point, however the cultural attitude towards guns solving problems must change.
I'm open about many things however the constant inundation of violence and sex must cease. Too many rely on devices and society to parent rather than teaching their own children boundaries, respect and a strong moral code - both in words and lifestyles.
We know the sad story and current affairs of our executive branch. We do not have a working legislative branch, but many of us fear that we are losing the non-partisanship of the judicial one as well. Thank God for the lower courts, which appear to be fairing much more balanced than SCOTUS. Many judges have found their spines, unlike many Democrat and Republican politicians. This is the only semi-functioning branch we have left until we can put into place some more Democratic politicians. We must be sure to support our local elections of EVERY kind and prevent the regime's party from assuming more positions in order to swing the balance scales in the other directions. We must support all leaders who stand up and put their names on a letter, who speak out and risk their reputations and perhaps their lives. For their heroism, we owe them that.
There is no need for an assault weapon outside of war. The categorization name of those weapons (assault) tell us everything we need to know. Our right to "keep and bear arms" came about in defense of oneself and property. Just like everything else, we get so caught up in the politics of it all and how, in this society, we as individuals come first, we can no longer reason or act sensibly because we want what we want when we want it.
We have a Second Amendment wildly misinterpreted by SCOTUS. As for thoughts & prayers--like the mayor said, those kids were literally praying. What they need are laws.
Cali won't win the Prez until everyone realizes that Cali isn't "the land of fruits & nuts", but that it IS the Land Of Creativity & Opportunity, for those who dare to try.

Every time someone posts another retribution, the Dems should be exposing documentation about Epstein and sending it to every member on the Hill; expose his Russians and hit the Hill, question insider trading and money laundering by demanding Congress show their bank accounts... Make them sweat in front of the voting base... Epstein is a powerful trigger in white America. Many of those girls were blond, young, daughters, strong women who have emerged... are now successful and speaking out.
How deep is Thiel inside the government? There's a threat. Who do you think is triggering the same movement in England, France, Australia and other nations... Who do you think is international. It's never been Trump - it's the background players who are the threat - the rest are willing participants.
Winning an election is based on the message... there are many pulling strings behind them. Dems need to open their eyes to reality.
I posted a meme on Bluesky based on one of Michael Cohen's earlier pods with a call for true leadership. Enough with the preaching - find better candidates; write a plan that doesn't focus on individual ills but solves the needs of a large nation. Exactly what you said - different states, different segments of the population... need to solve their own problems. The national good must be a broad net for the greater good.
