This is when I play my old campaign song so relevant today! “WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT”

That should be the theme song for the Democratic party.

Thanks! Exactly what I thought! If bill Clinton can use Fleetwood Mac,we should use Twisted Sister!

Cause, IM NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!

You need to make that happen. Do you have any political connections?

My political allies were Republican state legislators and I switched parties to be democrat. Many Reps hated me…and I have to admit dems were cool to me, I upset their power structure but locally helped elections tremendously, including party boss change. But I really wanted to be with my disabled husband and three young daughters. So I stepped away. One of the saddest things I ever did,…giving up my dream career I worked so hard for. Not to mention income. It’s not like Congress. I retired on a 417/month pension and my tiny Soc. sec. Check years later. Paying for my own health ins. And then Medicare. Serve one term in Congress and you get everything for free the rest of your life ! Not in state government. Plus when I switched I gave up my committee leadership post costing me 10.000 per year…oh well, que sera sera!

But we could all use the song I used WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT… when I had events and walked neighborhoods! It didn’t hurt! Just think you’d need permission, Michael Cohen would know!

WOW. Sounds like an interesting career you had. I was just wondering if you still had connections. You're right, Cohen could do that. I seriously think Dems should adopt your song. I can't think of a better one. Imagine Bernie, AOC, Newsom, etc. walking out to a cheering audience with that song playing!

Yea! I can imagine a huge crowd around Bernie, Gavin,AOC, Jaime, Adam, Jasmine. All of them and us in background singing. Bet twisted sister would show up! Make it like the “ID LIKE TO TEACH THE WORLD TO SING” —-yea, a commercial to run for any and all dems!

I’m a veteran. 100% disabled. My home has been a 33’ travel trailer since the death of my husband almost four years ago.

I’m lucky enough to have a place to park it that is the same property that we raised our kids on.

I am a staunch activist for animals, especially those cats and dogs who found themselves in unfortunate situations of not having a home. I have volunteered over thousands of hours over decades working in animal shelters and/or rescue services and have seen too many unfortunate loving animals euthanized because of being homeless and each life lost breaks my heart.

SOOOOO, when I heard this non-compassionate sub-human person say this concerning a full fledged human being, I was horrified and disgusted. The nerve of this "it" to say another human who has fallen on unfortunate circumstances be euthanized. Did he think being "humanely killed" was showing compassion?

GTFOH! There is no empathy or compassion in striking down on someone who is already down and out. SMH ...

Michael and JoJo, excellent job! You are spot on with how homeless people are treated. Many have had a bad break, a life changing event, from which they could not recover. It's hard to get on your feet after you've been evicted. No one wants to hire you. They need help. I've met people like this in my career at a drug rehabilitation and recovery center.

But these MAGA morons have no empathy for anyone as long as it's not THEM who are suffering. If anyone should be euthanized it's the brain rot people like Brian kilmeade.

I think the reason the right wing podcasts get more people is because those people that listen to them have their whole identity wrapped up in their conspiracy theories and fantasies.

Here in AZ, where I live and where Kirk had his Turning Point Headquarters, you can't turn on the local news without hearing about him. What irks me is they don't really cover the divisiveness that Kirk espoused.

Maybe the Democrats need to keep the Minnesota lawmaker that was killed in the news. Maybe she should have a statue put up with her name on it and say that she was killed by a Trump supporter.

The reason Trump and MAGA won't let go of the Kirk thing? Because right now it's ALL THEY HAVE! The are underwater on the economy, tariffs, Epstein, Ukraine, Gaza, the Korean factory workers, ICE agents abducting people, farmers, relations with Europe, Japan, India - I could go on. It's an unmitigated shit-show from start to finish. Then along comes the Kirk killing and suddenly they get something to shout back at, to get on their high horses and start flinging excrement at everyone else.

It won't work in the long term, of course, because the more they highlight Kirk's name, the more people find out who he really was and what he stood for; racism, misogyny, homophobia, division, hate, religious intolerance etc. He said gun deaths were 'worth it' in order to protect 2A rights. He was a groomer for rightwing ideology. He weaponised Christianity to suggest homosexuals should be 'stoned to death'...

When he introduced himself as JD Vance on Kirk’s podcast did it sound like he was saying Shady Vance ? I do not mean this as a degradation, I am wondering if I need a hearing test or if anyone can validate JD said that?
