Michael, your analysis of Roberts' motivation in publicly rebuking DJT may be spot on. However, at this dark hour, enlightened self-interest on the part of the Chief Justice (and of Amy C. Barrett who seems to have aspirations to that role) may be our best bet in slowing down the dictatorship locomotive.

Agreed. Sometimes self-preservation works in our favor. This would be one of those times because they’re well aware that the majority of us would gladly see them walked TF out.

The only thing that this buffoon could do that I’d actually agree with is ending lifetime appointments for the SCOTUS. They fuck us and I’m beyond sick of it. I’m not saying the POTUS should have that power, but if the PEOPLE could get rid of these religious nuts who rule to take our rights away? That’d be beautiful.

I totally agree. Any fool knows the Supreme Court is next. I’ve been saying this since the day he got elected. His grievance has no end. Btw his interview with Ingraham was a total meltdown.

Michael, we can only hope that by Roberts standing strong....even if only to protect his OWN power....it will serve as an example to both houses of Congress, THAT THEY TOO MUST STAND UP to preserve three EQUAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT.

What is happening in America is unprecidented, and it is UNAMERICAN.

I am thankful that we have at least one man in government who is equal to the task. Nothing but wimps and worms and wigglers left between citizens and oligarchy.
