I would SO love the see Zelensky offer minerals to Europe. That would be such a “f*ck you to Trump. And Putin.

Here is my opinion: Zelenskyy played Trump, he knows exactly who he's dealing with. He met with EU leaders, and there’s a plan. The EU is getting ready to defend Ukraine. Russian soldiers are exhausted and won't be able to hold their ground. The U.S. is in trouble, and there's a strong chance that many soldiers will side with the EU and Ukraine over the U.S. or Russia.

Dignity and honor are not for sale!

That’s incredibly heavy, and I can only imagine how hard that decision must have been for them, and for your whole family. Walking away from a lifelong commitment like that, especially out of a sense of principle, shows just how deeply they must feel about what’s happening. Regardless of politics, that kind of sacrifice deserves respect. Sending you and your family strength.

Let's hope Zelensky played chess. It is unfortunate that it took this horrible showdown last Friday for Europe to step up. I want for Zelensky to offer the minerals to Europe but not the US. I want for our Allies to screw tRump, Vance and Musk.

tRump is a mafioso and heartless, how can anyone "make a deal" with a country that has been ransacked and massacred?

Malcolm Nance is the best, so glad to see him here.

Maybe MAGA needs to feel the pain to understand! Although I still doubt they will

The ignorance and arrogance of the maga's is quite incredulous. It's hard to talk to people who choose not to read or fact check.

100% Ukrainian people are strong. Same as their neighbors in Poland. Especially those who are old enough to remember life in Eastern Europe before 1989.

They are not going to just give their land or autonomy away to Putin or anyone.

But Rump says all these wonderful companies are coming here to build their factories and be so great for America... the likes of it have never been seen

And it's costlier at all levels, wood coming from Canada: tariffs paid for by the lumber company, and then builder and then the house buyer

Expand full comment

Oh, but haven't you heard that we're going to have tons of cheaper lumber after millions of trees are cut down in national forests? They're going to destroy our environment, our forests and wildlife; and accelerate climate change. I heard it last night and confirmed it. It actually made me cry. https://biologicaldiversity.org/w/news/press-releases/trumps-logging-order-unleashes-chainsaws-on-americas-national-forests-2025-03-03

That's exactly what they intend to do. That's what the "Save Our Forests Act" that Republicans introduced is all about. They always name the worst bills exactly the opposite of what they are. The GOP is despicable!

To be clear, I don’t think Trump knows from minerals. Just spitballing! Trump and his minions kept calling them “raw earth minerals.” It is Musk who wants the lithium for his batteries and maybe his bi-polar disorder.

Excellent point on labor costs, gentlemen.

I rant about this to everyone uninformed MAGAt every chance I get.

They have no idea how the real world works when it comes to what it means to pay American workers a living wage + benefits without sacrificing corporate margins.

Corporations will never accept a reduction in profits, so just like tariffs the consumers will pay the cost of returning manufacturing to the US.

yes a good solid example of how price kinda gouging, goes right into the economy. Build house? umm no wood duh!! economy . reverberating.
